Why Marvel Owes No Apologies for Captain America's 'Tea Party'

For those who did not hear, there is a controversial panel in Captain America #602 in which a protest is depicted with protesters holding signs against the current "Tea Baggers" or real world politics. It takes no imagination to realize that this upset some people and Marvel's editor in chief issued an apology saying that it a "lettering" error. Comics Alliance has done a great job reporting on all of this. I saw this great article defending Marvel for the panel and I agree with the author, Marvel has no reason to apologize.
