Joss Whedon Explains How a Fight Between Buffy and Black Widow Would Go Down

Joss Whedon is a genuis. Here is how he answered this one:

Buffy would go easy at first, but as soon as Natasha popped her with a Widow Sting, she’d start bringing some slayer brawn to the fray. Natasha’s fast, but a couple of good connects and she’s wobbling, possibly something broken — she whips out her glock and now Buffy’s dodging — right where Natasha wants her. Natasha shoots the cable holding the steel barrels and they tumble onto Buffy, nearly burying her — Buffy just arcs out of the way, grabbing the splintered cable and swinging directly onto Natasha, a bullet grazing her cheek as her feet land hard on the Russian’s shoulders, sending her back flat – crack! – on the floor, Buffy wrenching the gun away and tossing it, fist ready for the final strike. Natasha, struggling to stay conscious, says the fight’s over. Buffy agrees, but Natasha explains: She poisoned Buffy hours ago. That waitress that brought her salad …? Natasha smiles. The poison is dormant — ’til it’s activated by adrenaline. Buffy’s eyes narrow. “Too bad I didn’t use any.” Wham! Natasha’s out for the count, and Buffy’s heading — slowly — to Willow for a mystical cleanse.

That’d be my first guess.
Ok  Mr Whedon, film this please!

Okay, I'm out of the loop more than I thought. I did not know that there was a new Motion Comic based on Joss Whedon's run on Astonishing X-Men. It drops April, 2012

"Astonishing X-Men: Dangerous"
Synopsis
: The tragic death of a student at the Xavier Institute reveals that a powerful enemy is working from inside the mansion to destroy the X-Men. It’s an enemy who knows all their weaknesses and can predict their every move. This new foe doesn’t want wealth, power or world domination--it only wants them dead. As the X-Men fight for their lives, they learn they’ve been deceived by one of their own. Even if they survive, the team will never be the same.

Joss Whedon Reacts to Terrible 'Buffy' Remake News - ComicsAlliance | Comics culture, news, humor, commentary, and reviews

Joss Whedon at the premiere of Serenity (film)Image via WikipediaYesterday, I've heard that Warner Brothers has decided to make a new Buffy: The Vampire Slayer movie. The bad news? No Joss Whedon or any of the idea or concepts he brought to the Movie, television series, or comic books. Without him creating, directing, or producing the franchise would not have worked! I mean the movie was a dud at time. The studio did not know what it had. I bet it is gonna be like Blade...just wait and see. Which means it won't work for Buffy. I liked the way Whedon summed up his comment:

I always hoped that Buffy would live on even after my death. But, you know, AFTER. I don't love the idea of my creation in other hands, but I'm also well aware that many more hands than mine went into making that show what it was. And there is no legal grounds for doing anything other than sighing audibly.

I'm not sure if I'd be able to be that classy. I'll lend my audible sigh to his. And I think David Boreanaz's (who starred in Buffy and it's spinoff Ange1) tweeted picture sums up my feeling exacty!

"Gifted" Review

Okay, I've seen the first two episodes of the new Motion Comic book based on Josh Whedon's run on Astonishing X-Men. And well...I'm....astonished! I have never seen a Motion Comic done like this one!  It could easily be a feature film or an animated series. The only thing that made me remember that it was not a movie was that the art was crom the comic books so it was more like watching a comic book coming to life. The music and voices was spot on. I liked the writing and dialog too. Whedon manages to take a plot that has been done in X-Men 3 and the 90's animated series and made it seem fresh and new. I can't wait for the next part!
