I often wonder why many artists end up disliking their celebrated works. That which brought them fame becomes to distasteful to them. It seems that the more epic and awesome the work is the more pained the artist seems to be. It's like an artist gives birth to something and it really hurt. Might explain why Alan Moore doesn't want to have anything to do with comics industry.

Remember, Remember The Fifth Of November...

I loved the movie "V for Vendetta" and I will have to read the graphic novel soon. What I didn't know that there really was an incident when someone planned to blow up the British Parliament in protest on the "5th of November"! Here is a quote from the website that taught me this fact.

I realize the true significance of Great Britain's "Guy Fawkes Night" is difficult to directly appreciate here in the United States, but it's worth pointing out that today is indeed the 404th anniversary of the would-be midnight bomber what bombs at midnight's foiled attempt to blow up British Parliament.

In real-life the plot was foiled, but who knew you could learn so much from a comic book?
