Ask Chris (About Batman) #54: Why Doesn't Batman Kill? - ComicsAlliance | Comic book culture, news, humor, commentary, and reviews

Chris Sims has written a very interesting article about Batman and the history in the comics of the character killing or not killing opponents. He is very insightful as always. I found myself agreeing with him.

...as far as I'm concerned, "Batman Does Not Kill" is one constant, immutable traits of the character, as much an inherent and necessary part of him as anything else. There are plenty of metatextual reasons for it -- ranging from the nature of the super-hero as something that appeals to children to the fact that if Batman actually killed the Joker, then we wouldn't get any more Joker stories and that would suck -- but there are also equally valid in-story reasons for it.

Ask Chris #53: Batman vs. Harry Potter - ComicsAlliance | Comic book culture, news, humor, commentary, and reviews

Chris Sims has written a really good article about whether or not Harry Potter could beat Batman. Follow the link to read the insightful article. It's insightful because it also discusses who the characters are. In my opinion, there is no way Potter could beat Bat-mite let alone Batman or Robin.

Chris Sims writes a great article about what stories are important to understanding how important Robin is to the Batman mythos. I got to admit, He's right.
