Black Panther Animated Series S01 E03 | Free Animation Videos - Watch Animation Videos Online | Veoh

Here is the 3'rd episode of the Black Panther Animated Series. In this episode we get to see the Juggernaut and Batroc really insulting each other. It's really funny. But to me it was more funny in the original story with Rhino because I don't think that the Juggernaut is really that dumb. We also get to see how T'Challa's father was assassinated and why Klaw is cybernetically enhanced. This just shows how the show gets better and better!

Warner Bros. Acquires 'Arkham Asylum' Game Company

I just found out that Warner Bros has gained control of Rocksteady Studios - the video game company responsible for last year's hit Batman:Arkham Asylum. It is obvious why they did this given that Warner Bros owns Batman and DC Comics. I think it was a good move. Batman:Arkham Asylum is arguably one of the best games - ever; not just a good Batman game. It is THE Batman game. I would like to see what Rocksteady can do with other characters like Superman, the Flash, Green Lantern, and Wonder Woman.

Batman Beats Superman (At Auction): 'Detective Comics' #27 Breaks $1 Million

Comics Alliance reports that Batman's first comic appearance auctions at a price higher than Superman's first appearance. Can't say that I'm surprised. Here is the short article:

Less than a week after Superman's first appearance in "Action Comics" #1 sold at auction for a record-setting $1,000,000, the Beat is reporting that "Detective Comics" #27, the first appearance of Batman, has shattered that record with a Bruce Wayne-sized $1,075,000 price tag, thus ensuring that Comics Retailers are going to have a fun week dealing with people demanding their million for copies of 1992's "Batman: Shadow of the Bat" #1.

Presumably, this all comes down to the fact that in today's economy, a mild-mannered reporter just can't keep up with a billionaire playboy. But whoever ended up buying this one, we here at ComicsAlliance have some bad news: You got totally ripped off. Our copy of "The Batman Chronicles" v.1 has Batman's first appearance and fifteen other stories, and we picked it up at our local shop for $14.99.

Kevin Conroy's Zur-En-Arrh Episode Of 'Batman: The Brave and the Bold' Postponed

Batman, as he was depicted in the animated series.

Here is a great post from Comics Alliance for an upcoming episode on Batman: The Brave and the Bold. This episode is noteworthy because Kevin Conroy, who voice Batman/Bruce Wayne through 4 animated series and several animated series and a video game, will be playing Batman in the latest series as Batman from an alternate dimension. I can't wait to see this. Keven Conroy has basically played Batman since 1992 and to be honest when I read a comic book and imagine what Batman sounds like, it's Conroy's voice I hear.

Black Panther Animated Series S01 E02 | Free Animation Videos - Watch Animation Videos Online | Veoh

Here is the second episode of the Black Panther Animated Series. This episode we see T'Challa begin his reign and the fact that his focus is finding the man who killed his father aeveral years other. IT's also obvious that 2 factions see T'Challa's rise to power as an opportunity for a regime Change. Ulysses Klaw the one responsible for killing the former king begins to put together a team to take T'Challa down. I'm aware of Batroc as a Captain America villain but I love the way he was portrayed here. I think it was a bold choice to use Batroc without his costume. At first I thought that the only reason why Juggernaut replaced the Rhino in the comic book was because in using him brought in the X-Men and gave Storm a larger role than he had in the original Comic book series. This story is also the only time I have heard of the villain the "Cannibal" but it's an interesting character. I also really enjoyed the flashback story of the failed European colonization attempt of Wakanda. There is a part of me that wishes other native civilization had responded in kind. Such is fiction.

The Strangest Moments of Golden Age Batman - ComicsAlliance | Comics culture, news, humor, commentary, and reviews

Comics Alliance has published a great article on the weirdest moments from the Golden Age Batman comics. My favorite was a the end Batman fighting a white whale in Batman #9? Here is the quote with picture

We're not really sure why Batman took time out from his war on crime to hunt down and kill a "white" (well, yellowish) whale, so we can only assume the obvious answer:

That's the whale that killed his parents.

Black Panther Cartoon: Episode 1 [Full 20 Min] Video

I have recently found episodes of the Black Panther Animated series on vodpod. Since I've been frustrated by the episodes being pulled from YouTube, I've decided to use the videos posted there and write some reviews. Feel free to watch the first episode before my comments.

I really like the first episode. It follows the first issue of Reginald Hudlin's comic book run. IT frames who Black Panther is and why we should care about him. My favorite part of the episode was watching Captain America get his ....um....shield handed to him! I love John Romita Jr's artwork a great deal. The animated series brings the comic book to life. It start off telling how T'Challa inherits the roles and responsibilities of being the Black Panther. The other best thing about this is how Hudlin writes this story in such a way that profound political commentary come out. Points that I agree with about colonialism and American Foreign policy clearly comes into play. I ju st love the idea of a small country in Africa looking down it's nose at Western Civilization. Love IT! I wish there was a real nation such as Wakanda - technologically advanced, never ever been conquered or beaten in its long history, rich, self-sufficient, and does not  bother any other nation. I love the dialogue and the pace of the story.

The Real Protests of Captain America #602

For those who did not hear, there is a controversial panel in Captain America #602 in which a protest is depicted with protesters holding signs against the current "Tea Baggers" or real world politics. It takes no imagination to realize that this upset some people and Marvel's editor in chief issued an apology saying that it a "lettering" error. Comics Alliance has done a great job reporting on all of this. They even posted an article offering several other options for signs the folks in the panel could have been carrying. I've posted my favorite below. You can see them all at the link at the ends.
