Marvel.com publishes great articles. One series is when they take a character and has train psychologists write an article analyzing the character in the context of what is happening in the comics themselves in the past and the present. This one for Spider-Woman is really great! By the way - I really like the motion comic currently at iTunes!
Here are clips from the 5th and final episode of the Spider-Woman motion comic. I'm sad to see it end. I've seen an;ll 5 episodes and I love it. Extremely well-done. The last part has the Avengers guest-staring.. My only complaint is that I didn't like Wolverine's voice. But that is minor.
I finally seen episode 4 of Spider-Woman. motion comic. It was great. The series is just getting better and better. The thing I liked best about the episode is that we see Spider-Woman take on the Thunderbolts and win. We also see Spider-Woman employing her detective skills. I had a great time with it!
I'm a little behind posting this than I though t I would. In my opinion, the series is just getting better and better. Jessica is still in Mandripor, hunting down a Skrull, avoiding Hydra, and the local authorities. It's getting exciting. Jessica is back in costume and I'm real happy. By and large I like her costume and she is way-more aggressive and powerful than I realized. The series also reveals that the original Spider-Woman has powers that I was unaware of. The series is awesome. I can't wait for the next episode.
Marvel.com has released a trailer for the 3rd episode of the Spider-Woman Motion comic. It will be released tomorrow Wednesday, September 16, 2009. I'm excited about it. Apparently Jessica drew will finally be in costume!
Marvel.com has released art from the 3rd episode of Spider-Woman. I can't wait. It looks like she will finally get into costume. I like the story so far!
Well, I did subscribe to the Spider-Woman motion comic series. I continue to be impressed. I even like the voice acting and the art and the animation. The story is awesome as Michael Bendis always delivers. As for what is happening in the story, no answers have been given just more questions have been raised. I'm still not clear on just how bad Spider-Woman's predicament really is. The best thing about the story is a power she has that I didn't know she had. I don't want to spoil it but I think it most likely works on men more than it does on women.
One might be led to ask why would Marvel or DC or anyone for that matter invest in generating motion comics over full blown animated movies? Simple: Money. Motion comics can be created inexpensively but without sacrificing quality and easily distributed over the internet. It has it's place but I don't think for a second it will replace animation.
I've got the Spider-Womanmotion comic from ITunes. It is awesome. I enjoy Brian Michael Bendis work so much and this story was no different. In case you don't know what has been happened an alien race, known as the Skrulls, who are shape-shifters, tried to take over earth by infiltrating the population, including superheroes and super villains. It's been revealed that the Skrulls had operatives in place for years and secret from the characters and the readers alike. One person who had been replaced was Jessica Drew - Spider-Woman. With the Skrulls defeated and Jessica back, she tries to pick up the pieces of her life. The motion comic picks the story up from there. The story is amazing. Truth is it's more like watching a movie than the regular digital comic format I'm used to. The acting is really well-done. And this version of Jessica Drew is really hard! She is frustrated and angry about all that the Skrulls have done to her personally and to everyone else. She most definitely wants revenge. I really recommend the first motion comic and hope Marvel does more. I can't wait for the next episode. Maybe she will be in costume in the next one. I was gonna see if I could stream it, but I changed my mind. I bought my copy...only $0.99!
Marvel.com has just announced that they will unveil the new Spider-woman motion comic at Comic Con this coming Friday. I am looking forward to it because ever sense I heard of the format I've been excited. Comic book panels coming alive with animation, music, and voice acting. The format only now is really getting started but so far the most I've seen of it is for Watchmen last spring. According to this trailer, I'll be more happy with Spider-woman because it is not just one voice actor. Marvel has released some motion comics direct to DVD and I saw the one for the Hulk. It was good. And I saw the ones released by Walmart with the DVD releases for Iron Man and Transformers. I enjoyed them too but I would have liked to see more animation like on order of Watchmen. Here is the Spider-Woman trailer.
