Everyone seems to have at least one crazy convention tale to tell, and since creators are no exception, we got Grant Morrison ("Batman Inc"), Kieron Gillen ("Thor"), Jamie McKelvie ("Phonogram"), Jeff Lemire ("Superboy"), Ryan North ("Dinosaur Comics") and Sandeep Parikh ("The Guild") on camera to talk about their weirdest, coolest experiences at the comic convention to end all comic conventions.

This one almost breaks the rule of standing on its own, as it requires a little more explanation than just looking at the panel itself, but it's too good to pass up: In the scene, Batman has just faced down against a trio of alien "super-heroes" who have come to earth on a mission of conquest. He's also just revealed that he knows that they're Martians, which means they have a vulnerability to fire, which is why he makes a gigantic circle of gasoline, then lights it with a match and proceeds to beat the stuff out of three people with all of Superman's powers plus they can read your mind, shapeshift and turn invisible.
"He was game for doing pretty much whatever we had in mind," Meaney said of the initial shooting. "We covered stories about his family, childhood and career. It was an extensive accounting."
There's a lot of ground to cover. Morrison has lived a very full life, from playing in rock bands to experimenting as a transvestite to becoming, like Alan Moore, a chaos magician. There's a lot of fertile ground in his personality alone, to say nothing of his sometimes autobiographical comics. In the process, Morrison has become a counterculture icon primed for mainstream crossover.
