X-Men Arcade Release Date: December 15 - G4tv.com

X-Men Arcade Release Date: December 15th

I'm used to G4TV delivering solid reporting, but I hope they are wrong about the release date on the PS3. Gamespot said December 26!
Beloved classic arcade game X-Men Arcade is coming out on the Xbox Live Arcade on December 15. Sadly, PlayStation 3 users will have to wait a bit: A PSN version is on tap, but it won't hit until a couple months later in February.
No word yet on the price of the game, although we know the home version of the game will feature high definition graphics, drop-in drop-out online and local co-op. You'll be able to play as well-known mutants Cyclops, Colossus, Dazzler, Nightcrawler, Storm and Wolverine.
This is the first proper console port of this fondly remembered beat-em-up, so don't sleep when this is released next week. I promise you'll like it... oh, and sorry, PlayStation 3 peeps.

Sony Unveils PlayStation Network Plus - G4tv.com

PSN logo color transImage via Wikipedia
I got the following from G4TV

At its E3 press conference today, Sony revealed the rumored upgraded PlayStation Network package PlayStation Plus is a reality. The service won't effect the current PlayStation Network, but instead will add more content and features to the experience.
PlayStation Plus will provide subscribers with access to "hundreds of dollars worth of exclusive digital content" including early access to demos and betas, free game downloads, discounts at the PlayStation store and more. It will cost $49 a year or $17.99 for 3 months, but Sony is planning on a free three-month trial period for the service.
An interesting note from the press conference: The content you get through the service will be available to you "for the duration of your subscription." I guess you sort of rent any demos you download instead of buying them.

Sony Says PlayStation Network Service Completely Restored - G4tv.com

PlayStation NetworkImage via Wikipedia
For anyone who has been unable to follow the news as of midnight March 1, 2010 people have been unable to access their PS3's properly. I had heard about this all day from the RSS Feeds but being that I have not been able to use my PS3 in several days and that I haven't watch television - all my news about it has come from G4TVs blogs. Here is what I have pieced together so far:

The problem has been an inability to hit the PSN network and online games malfunctioning. At first it seemed to affect the non-slim models of the PS3. Here what Sony had to say:

On its official PlayStation Blog, Sony posted that the "problem is being caused by a bug in the clock functionality incorporated in the system" and advises users of pre-Slim PlayStation 3 consoles to not use their systems "as doing so may result in errors in some functionality, such as recording obtained trophies, and not being able to restore certain data." Sony also said: "We hope to resolve this problem within the next 24 hours."

Sony's answer in the meantime is that all PS3 stay off the network until the problem is resovled. Thankfully G4TV bravely experimented to see how far the problem went!

And as of about 10 pm PST on March 1st, Sony has announced that everything is okay now
"We are aware that the internal clock functionality in the PS3 units other than the slim model, recognized the year 2010 as a leap year," said the company in a statement. "Having the internal clock date change from February 29 to March 1 (both GMT), we have verified that the symptoms are now resolved and that users are able to use their PS3 normally."

The digital comic service for Playstation - PlayStation Digital Comics

PlayStation NetworkImage via Wikipedia
I've been waiting for this! The comic book subscription service for PSP is finally online with new comics! Most of them I have not read!I can't wait to try it out! I'm wondering what is the difference between using the digital service Marvel already has besides the additional publishers and that I could now take my comics with me where ever I go on the PSP. I've had it confirmed on Twitter that this service has multiple publishers and  only works on the PSP and PSP Go.
