Black Panther - Comic vs Animated Series

The marriage of Storm and the Black Panther: P...Image via Wikipedia
Now that the six issues of Reginald Hudlin's excellent "Who Is The Black Panther?" storyline has been adapted into an animated series I thought that it would be interesting the compare the original story with the animated series. In short, I noticed only two things that was different in the animated adaption.

1. Storm played a larger role in the animated version but I think that is because if more episodes are produced her marriage to the Black Panther will be introduced earlier in show than in the comic.
2. Rhino was replaced by Juggernaut in the animated series. I think it was because they thought that Juggernaut was more well known and gave a reason for X-Men favorites Cyclops, Wolverine, and Nightcrawler to make an appearance. My problem is that it was as if they just switched Rhino out and did not change anything. It was a little jarring because Rhino is a lot dummer than the Rhino.

I recently saw a video review on YouTube suggesting  that the show was trying to be too violent like Afro Samurai and too racially controversial like the Boondocks! I can't see how anyone can level such criticism had they read the original comic book. The show was a faithful adaption. And one of the things I liked most about is the way Wakanda's foreign policy was shown. They don't mess with anyone but if anyone starts something with them they are going to finish it. Also although Wakanda and Niganda are fictional countries the way the world politics and economical summits were portrayed is totally spot on reality.

Here is the review I saw and following that is the intro fot the series
