Amazing Spider-Man: Remember Ben Reilly?

Yup, I remember Ben Reily. I read all of the comics in the late 90's that explored his character. I liked the idea of Spider-man's clone coming back but I hated the way they had the clone thinking he was the real one and replaced him and then resolved the dispute by blaming it on the Green Goblin. What I want know is how are they going to do this? Are they going to ignore the previous stories given that now Peter and Mary Jane were never married? I think I might want to read these new stories to see what happens.
