You know what? I totally get this video, and I think it's awesome! Oh how my people continue to die mentally as they continue to miss the message. Which when you think about it, actually speaks volumes to, and about, the very theme of the video. Here's a video which artistically captures the historical character assassination of the black woman; using Dallas TX., as the setting, circa the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. But yet, Neo-Negroes are grumbling and continue to be perpetually enslaved mentally all because of....I agree with the blogger's interpretation of what the video means. It is artistic and only sexual if you are sexually excited by a naked woman....duh. The surreal thing and the thing that really makes me think that the blogger has a point is the way people are just passing by her and seemingly not to notice her as she strips. I don't really have a problem with the video's message but the execution was certainly meant to be controversial. Of course in a few years (maybe months) they'll air it unedited!
Group-think?
BoingBoing had an early look at the reader in action this weekend, linking to sample shots of the app at work. Those who use the app in its current iPhone incarnation know the score - for $3.99 it allows users with a little savvy to upload and read CBZ, ZIP,CBR and RAR files on their phones. Comic Zeal 4 for the iPad is planned to work in much the same way, only with bells and whistles aimed at taking advantage of the new device's screen size for around twice the price.
Comic Zeal isn't alone in its quest for iPad action, however, as ComiXolgy's iPad concept has been making the blog rounds for a few months now and current iPhone apps like ClickWheel, Panelfly and iVerse Media all have plans to greet the device with accommodating upgrades on or around its April 3 release.
Starting in June, BATMAN BEYOND — a six-issue mini-series from writer Adam Beechen (who’s no stranger to animated characters, having worked on The Batman series a few years back) and artist Ryan Benjamin — will pit the future Dark Knight against his own past, as a dangerous force has begun to target Bruce Wayne’s old foes. Can Wayne’s past put Terry’s future in danger?
Not sure, gang. Let’s check in with Adam Beechen himself. Take it away, Adam:
“The dark future of the legendary animated series comes to the DCU in a six-issue miniseries, as Terry McGinniss, Bruce Wayne’s young successor as Batman, faces his deadliest foe yet — a mystery murderer from the Dark Knight’s past! Old faces return, new allies and enemies step into the light, and the partnership between Terry and Bruce — not to mention Terry and Bruce themselves — might not survive!”
