TIFF: 'Creation' Finds No Distribution, Hopes for Controversy to Help

I haven't even heard of this movie before I read this article. It is a biopic on Charles Darwin. I haven't seen it so I would not want to comment on how good it is. I just don't understand why they can't find movie studio willing to distribute it in the United States. I hope I'll get to see it soon.
