Ghost Rider 2 Was R-Rated, Getting Watered Down PG-13

I found this information on ReelComix.com. Here is what it says:
In an interview with Collider David Goyer revealed that the script for Ghost Rider 2 was written almost 9 years ago and was initially planned as an R rated film. Unfortunately the studio will be giving it a PG-13 cut when it does get released.
Nic Cage told MTV that the new film will be a reboot and they are looking to do a less western element and go with a more international feel. Something like having him working for the church. I instantly think Van Helsing and cringe. Clearly he realizes how badly the first film was put together and perhaps the studio will actually put some effort into this one. Ghost Rider was not as bad as The Spirit but it sure was close!

I  must agree that The Spirit was a horrible movie. Awful! However, I liked Ghost Rider, but I hope Nicholas Cage will not be in the next movie. Eva Mendez can stay.
